The online broker comparisons I've seen have been a little biased as they all have links and I'm sure they get paid commission. So I asked my friends who have used different online brokers and I also used a bunch of different stock brokers myself and I decided to make this video to save you a bunch of time and headache and help you avoid stock broker fees and other traps that are easy to fall into. When you're looking to find a stock broker online there are a few things you really want to prioritize: Research capabilities, fees, customer service, ease of use (you don't want to have to learn a new program every time you log on) are all really important. Some of the older brokerage accounts like vanguard (they basically started index funds) have been established for awhile but are honestly very difficult to use and it seems like they aren't pushing forward and making the customer experience better like the other online broker accounts. Many online brokers still have hidden fees that are honestly really annoying. Some offer international stock broker accounts and some don't. The big online brokers like Fidelity, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, TD Ameritrade, are great but there are some really good newcomers like robinhood, wealthfront, ally invest etc that are revolutionizing and disrupting the industry.
